SUBJECT: WORKSHOP ON AMENDED CCMA RULES AND FORMS SET FOR DURBAN, KZN
As part of the nationwide workshops set forth to educate and capacitate Users on the amendments made to the CCMA’s Rules and Forms, the CCMA Director, Advocate Cameron Sello Morajane and Dr Brian Van Zyl, Director of Van Zyl, Rudd & Associates will on Thursday, 18 May 2023, be jointly facilitating a workshop in Durban, at the Sibaya Casino and Entertainment Kingdom.
Commenting after the first workshop held in Johannesburg on Monday 15 May 2023, Advocate Morajane said: “It is very important that we educate members of the public and Users of CCMA services on the new changes and on how they should apply them to ensure equitable access to the tribunals, which is a constitutionally protected right.”
The amended Rules and Forms, which took effect on 24 April 2023 following their promulgation on 21 April 2023, were informed by the need to ensure alignment to significant case law, practice and procedure changes within the CCMA as well as to ensure compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) 4 of 2013.
