SUBJECT: SIGNING OF THE SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE TRADE UNION SOLIDARITY SA AND THE SOUTH AFRICAN GOVERNMENT
The trade union Solidarity SA referred a dispute to the International Labour Organisation (ILO) regarding the Employment Equity Act.
The ILO recommended that the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) ought to facilitate the dispute between the trade union Solidarity SA and the South African Government represented by the Department of Employment and Labour to which both parties agreed. The media is invited to the signing ceremony of the Settlement Agreement.
