SUBJECT: COLLABORATIVE WORKSHOPS ON THE CCMA’S AMENDED RULES AND FORMS
The Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) in collaboration with Van Zyl, Rudd & Associates will this week continue with the planned nationwide workshops on the CCMA’s amended Rules and Forms. The aim of the workshops is to educate Users and interested parties on the changes made in order to ensure the correct application thereof and to enforce compliance to same whilst promoting speedy dispute resolution and expeditious social justice.
CCMA Director, Advocate Cameron Sello Morajane and Dr. Brian Van Zyl, Director of Van Zyl, Rudd & Associates will tomorrow, 23 May 2023, facilitate the Tshwane workshop, at the Time Square Hotel, building on the successful workshops already conducted in Johannesburg, Bloemfontein and Durban last week with one additional workshop having been conducted in Gqeberha this week.
The CCMA amended Rules and Forms, which took effect on 24 April 2023 were informed by the need to ensure alignment to significant case law, practice and procedural changes within the CCMA as well as the need to ensure compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) No. 4 of 2013.
