The Director of the CCMA has become involved in trying to assist the parties in resolving this matter. He met with the Executive Chairman of Equity Aviation as well as with the President of SATAWU yesterday. High level discussions were conducted. The aim of the discussions was to assist the parties in finding a principled solution in terms of helping them formulate a mandate for the negotiations.

It is hoped that the matter will be finalized by the end of the week.

A further meeting between the Director and the Chairman of Equity Aviation has been scheduled for this afternoon. Further discussions may also be conducted with the union this afternoon.
