The CCMA and the Labour Relations Practice (LRP) industry are jointly pursuing the development and delivery of a Dispute Resolution Practice (DRP) qualification as an academic qualification under the auspices of the Higher Education Act, involving public higher education  institutions.

The longer term objective is to also develop a vocational qualification following the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations route in terms of the Skills Development Act.
