The Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union (AMCU) and Lonmin met at the CCMA today, 16 May 2013, to begin the statutory conciliation process for the organisational rights dispute referred by AMCU.

According to CCMA Director, Ms Nerine Kahn, “the conciliation process where the parties attempt to conclude a recognition agreement will now take its course over, and as conciliation is private and  without prejudice the CCMA is not in a position to divulge any further details regarding the  progress in the matter at this stage”.
