The CCMA is pleased to advise that a three (3) year wage agreement has been signed between Anglo American Platinum Mines and AMCU, NUM, UASA, on Friday, 15th November 2019.

The conciliation was heard under the auspices of the CCMA over the past five weeks with several facilitated meetings before an agreement was brokered.

The CCMA Director, Mr Cameron Morajane, wishes to commend the parties for their dedicated efforts and remaining in the process to ensure some measure of stability in the Platinum sector.

“The mining sector is a crucial stakeholder in the South African economy, and this agreement represents a commitment to labour peace and economic development,” Morajane said.

The CCMA remains committed to supporting the labour market in facilitating improved Collective Bargaining to promote orderly and healthy labour relations.
